We begin our expedition with a shakedown dive in the Thingvellir National Park. Our site, Davíðsgjá, is Silfra’s darker and wilder sibling. This spectacular lava ravine has long been known by the local dive community, but rarely dived by visitors because of its close proximity to the world-renowned Silfra. Davíðsgjá is just off the beaten path, on the edge of the Arctic char’s protected spawning grounds and offers more than 2 kilometers of underwater fissure to explore. After our single extended dive, we will make the scenic journey along the south coast. We will pass the most famous Icelandic waterfalls Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss on our way to the dramatic black sand beaches that surround our destination and accommodation for the night in Vik, where we stay at the Icelandair hotel Vík.

We will start this tour by picking you up at your hotel and head to the famous South Coast. On the way you will see amazing landscape including The Black Sand beach, Reynisfjara, Seljalandsfoss waterfall and Dýrhólaey arch. This exciting day will end with a night stay in little village called Vík.

This morning we will begin with a journey over rough terrain and through rivers into the Icelandic highlands. On an unassuming bend of this highland road we will prepare equipment and make the short trip to Iceland's best kept secret, the Tear of Odin. This remote and almost completely unexplored dive site was discovered by one of our guides way back. No other operators and only a handful of guides are aware of this site, let alone know its location.

Following our dive we will travel further into the Iceland highlands taking in the otherworldly volcanic scenery and wilderness on our way to Landmannalaugar. The highland oasis for hikers and adventures we will shake off any lingering cold in the soothing warm water of the surrounding natural hot springs. Continuing through the highlands will bring us back to civilization and paved roads with a short trip back to Reykjavik for the evening.

On the last day we will head to the most popular dive site in the country, Silfra! The site is located in the Thingvellir National Park and in 2004 it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, for its cultural and historical significance as well as its natural and geological uniqueness. The dive begins by plunging into the world’s clearest water. Underground springs in this area will help make this dive a breeze, we will move through the site aided by the gentle flow of glacial spring water. We’ll endeavor to make this an extended dive so that we pass through the most famous sections of Silfra all in one epic fell swoop.

After the dive we will head to see the famous Golden Circle. The first stop is the Geysir geothermal area. The second stop is the most photographed waterfall in all of Iceland, Gullfoss. This magnificent natural monument shouldn't be missed by any visitor to Iceland. Tumbling down a deep gorge, it offers a number of great places to take pictures and enjoy the spray from this ́Golden Waterfall ́. From Gullfoss we will drive to Fontana Spa for a relaxation at the end of a long day.
